Recap of the last few months...

I figured I would recap how my life has changed in the past few months. Our lil man arrived on August 18,2009 at 3:36pm.

The day didn't start off well. I went in for induction at 4am. After 9 sticks to get iv in, the drip was started. My water was broke at 9am and had epidural at 10am. Thank heaven for epidurals...the are the greatest! Well or at that moment I thought they were. About 1pm I started hurting pretty bad and realized that I wasn't supposed to be feeling what I was. So nurse checked me again and I was 9cms so too late for any more drugs. So needless to say, mommy was in lots of pain trying to get lil man out..lol! Below are a few pictures from that day.

One proud daddy!

Chad's parents have been waiting for this moment since the day we said "I do". After she saw my doctor come in and still no baby after about 30 minutes she decided she would come to my door and listen and keep everyone updated. On the video from that day when she heard him cry, she ran out into the hall and was screaming "He's crying, he's crying!" Nana and Papaw love their lil guy!

Yes.....I had the paparazzi in my room!

And here he is.....OUR PRIDE AND JOY!

He was born on a Tuesday and we were sent home on Friday. He had to stay an extra day under the bilirubin lights for his jaundice. My mother stayed with me till Sunday eve and boy was I sad when she left. I cried for the first week because I missed her so much! She is only 30 minutes away but having her here with us helped alot. The first few weeks were very rough. I breastfed for about two weeks then decided that was for the dogs...lol! Our first formula try was a disaster. It gave him horrible bellyaches and severe gas. After couple trips to pediatrician, we finally got things straight. He was put on Enfamil Gentlease, Axid for reflux, and the best medicine in a mother's eyes...Levsin for gas! It is a miracle drug or atleast in mommy and daddy's eyes. He was also put on cereal to help with reflux. He weight 9.10 at his one month check up and we will be going next Monday for the 2mnth. Im sure our lil monkey is over 11lbs. He eats 4ozs of milk and 4Tbsp of cereal in each bottle every 3-4hrs. In the past week or so he has started cooing and smiling some. Overall he is a great baby. We are so blessed we have him in our life and we can't wait to experience all of the joy he is going to bring us!!

Our lil family.... Mommy & Daddy were headed for a date at Outback!
